Does anyone hear me when I pray? Do the bad things I do come back to me? Do the good things I do come back to me? Does God ever laugh? Does God ever cry? Does my life matter? Does God care?

Questions lie at the core of our existence. But how and where do we find answers? FIVE20 exists to create an environment where it is safe to ask sincere and real questions. A place to be honest with God. A place where God is honest with us. FIVE20 is a gathering where the young people of Las Vegas can explore who God is, and what REAL life with him looks like in Las Vegas.

We meet in a bar because that is where people interact. We meet in the middle of the city because that is where people converge. We meet at night because that is when people are alive. Come and explore God in an enivronemnt where it is safe to ask questions.

RESPOND

If you were to have a drink with God, what would you order? What questions would you ask him? What do you think he would ask you about? Would such an encounter change the way you live life?

Responding is the key to any relationship. How we respond to what people say to us and about us defines our relationship with them. We believe that since the beginning of time God has been pursuing men and women for relationship. How should we respond to that pursuit? FIVE20 exists to create an environment where together we can discover how to respond to God and each other. Not just on Sunday nights, and not just an extra night during the week, rather we believe responding to God and each other in community is a lifestyle.

ENGAGE

If you knew you only had one year to live what would you do? Who would you do it with? Would Las Vegas, would the world be better because of what you did? By the way, how do we know we don’t only have a year to live?

FIVE20 exists to create an environment where we can explore who God is, respond to God and others, and engage God, each other, and the city in which we live.

We believe that God desires those who love him to be a benefit to the cities and world in which they live. We express this at FIVE20 through authentic community with God (meaning perfect people aren’t allowed) and others (by seeking to benefit our city with the gospel of Jesus Christ). If someone is hungry, that’s our problem. If someone is lonely and without connection, that’s our problem. If there is a problem in Las Vegas, that’s our problem. We believe that when we engage God we desire to engage others.
